The imagery of my work is based on nature. Seeing nature as an infinite principle, I use it because
I experience nature as a phenomenon. That ‘it’ is there with an obvious presence, makes it special.
According to me, nature is complete, whatever its manifestation or developmental stage may be.
'You believe that you can spend a whole life in front of a tree without exploring all his possibilities,
without understanding him, for there isn't anything to understand, simply to have a look at him: all you
say about this tree is that it is a tree, roots, and trunk, and branches, and leaves. And you don't have to
expect any other truth about him.' George Perec, 1967, A Man Asleep
Nature is an ingenious system that creates its own balance within an internal order. Here the visible
and the invisible fall together. It emanates a reality that is not understandable but calls on me to
connect with what goes on underneath the surface: it makes present what is concealed, restores
what seems lost in my inner sense of being.
I turn this enigmatic process into worlds where the visitor can linger for a while to define its own path.
